I am planning to relinquish the
enjoyable task of producing the OPN with Sue England for a while at
least. Sue is happy to continue her role of production and printing,
but I would like someone to take over my role of gathering all the
contributions together, which includes the adverts, and for
organising the deliveries round the Parish. We have a team of ten
who deliver the OPN. At present we produce three per year. It may be
that a small team take over my role and I will be happy to help out
to start with. It really will be an enjoyable task for anyone who
has a feeling for our community and lovely village and parish.

Many new residents
of Oving Village don’t realise that the Parish of Oving includes the
hamlets of Woodhorn, Colworth, Merston, Drayton and Shopwyke, which
is why we call this the Oving Parish News and not the Oving Village
News. We think we deliver the OPN to every household and business in
Oving Parish but if you know of anyone who does not get their copy
please let us know. We welcome all contributions and would like more
people to give us their views, local news, and information so that
the OPN continues to be of use and interest to us all. Have a think
in time for the December edition!
