St Andrew's is going from strength to strength. We held a lovely
Harvest Festival Service in October and the church looked
absolutely at its best with all the autumn flowers and produce. On
the following Monday evening we held our traditional auction of all
the gifts and raised £400: £200 each to our two charities, the
Sussex Snowdrop Trust for terminally ill children and Eagles Famine
Relief in Malawi. Thank you to all the flower arrangers and Annie
Stoddard, Martin Clack, Chris Humphrey and Ron Robinson who worked
so hard to make the auction such a success.
Our Remembrance Day Service was very moving with 45 of us
gathered around the war memorial before the service which was
beautifully led by Canon Brian Hammond.
Our Sunday Soup evenings have been a great success. Led by
Rev Graham Claydon after a lovely supper around a neighbour's table
we have heard about and discussed 'Islam and Christianity' and
'Harry Potter and the Four Last Things'. This last evening gave
everyone a chance to ask questions and we all joined in the lively
chat. These evenings are very relaxed and every-one is made to feel
at home. |

Thanks to everyone who supported the
Race Night at the beginning of November. We raised over £1400
and had a very enjoyable evening, so thanks to Tim Sellors and the
team in the bar and the kitchen. |
